3D Hubs, the world's largest network of 3D printers, is launching in Chicago! In celebration, we've partnered with the Chicago Hardware Startup Meetup and Catalyze Chicago to host an event for the 3D printing community this Wednesday, March 12th from 6:30-8:30 pm at ThoughtWorks (200 E. Randolph Street, Chicago).

At 3D Hubs, we believe everyone should have easy access to 3D printing, and we provide this by connecting people who want to print in 3D with over 3,300 3D printer owners in 80 countries. We have already launched our service in many major cities across the world, and have already had significant successes in New York, London, Amsterdam, Berlin, Paris, and Sao Paulo, in addition to Chicago. With our platform anybody in these cities can now bring customized, locally produced goods to those around them. We are building local manufacturing communities worldwide, and sparking an industrial revolution in the process.

Join us Wednesday for live 3D printing courtesy of The 3D Printing Experience and ProofX, free soda and local craft beer, professional networking, and fun guest talks from: Chicago Field Museum on how 3D printing, scanning and simulation can be used to show what mummies looked like when they were alive, and additive manufacturing and materials expert Dr. Mike Vazquez on 3D printing applications in sports.

Please visit the 3D Hubs website for more information on our platform (http://www.3dhubs.com/), as well as on Vimeo (http://vimeo.com/72721069).
